Letter from Meredith
Happy belated Easter, Passover, and Ramadan to all who celebrated. May we all feel renewed and have our spirits refreshed!
As we embrace this season of renewal, I’ve been reflecting on the concept of legacy—not just in terms of how I might be remembered, but in terms of how my actions resonate in the present. While I can’t control others’ perceptions of me, I can control my words and deeds. This month, I’m focused on defining my impact.
Making a positive impact requires intentionality: actively choosing the work, activities, and communities I want to cultivate. It also requires attentionality (okay, I made that one up!), but what I mean is being present, and offering the care and feeding to the people and causes we want to uplift.
As a business owner, mother, and board member, there are a lot of demands on my attention, and, if I’m being honest, it’s stretched thin more often than I’d like. So, as we all are, I’m a work in progress.
Over time, I’ve adopted a few simple practices that help me remain more intentional about my impact:
I’m selective about who I work with. After years of following the dictates of corporate America, I’m grateful for my ability as a business owner to choose the projects and companies I want to work with, taking into consideration both my values and the bottom line.
I have firm boundaries at work and home. Of course, I do this as I do everything else: imperfectly. But in general, when I’m working, I’m heads down, and when I’m with my family, I’m really with them.
I ask for help when I need it. This is especially important at work. My time is limited, and without the support of my team, Leverette Weekes couldn’t provide the high level of service we give to our amazing clients.

It’s inspiring to see Adrinda’s expertise informing the public conversation. Congrats!

Tiffani Daniels, MBCRE’s Managing Director, was a featured speaker alongside leaders from Thrivent, nVent, and the Minnesota Vikings at TCB’s annual Women in Leadership luncheon. The panel discussed hybrid work, the continuing impact of the pandemic, and navigating personal and professional goals.
