My parents, Wenda Weekes and Cornell Leverette Moore, initially founded Leverette Weekes in the 1970s to address the lack of hiring opportunities for Black lawyers. Later, they created new pathways and opportunities in real estate.

Now rebranded as a communications and executive coaching company, LW remains firmly rooted in creating economic opportunity. This month, I celebrated my nine-year anniversary since I made it my full-time job to collaborate with people who believe in the power of inclusion to improve our workplaces and communities.

How do your values show up in your work and everyday life? Hit reply and let me know!

The wires are buzzing about McKnight’s new building! The story was picked up by Associated Press/U.S. News/MSN News; CBS WCCO News; Finance & Commerce to name a few. We’re proud of the role LW played in the announcement and chuffed for our clients at McKnight. Congrats, team!

Executive Director (and LW’s client) Simone Hardeman-Jones recently guested on the She Supply Chains Podcast. In the episode, Simone shares how her policy background, community-centered leadership, and commitment to trust-building are shaping the future of social change. It’s a great episode – give it a listen!
